Rik Arends

Since 2006 I study Civil Engineering and Management, during my study I emphasised on sustainable transport and governance. The first is the field in which my main interest is, the second shows the way the field is played and governed.
Therefore I have studied the subjects of transport policy, urban transport, public policy and sustainability. Besides that I studied European Governance, urbanization, and political philosophy in different courses. To gain a broad view I studied at two universities and have done several internships.

My personal characteristics are social, pro-active, enthusiastic, calm and analytical. I have extensive experience in managing a club and organising activities in a committee. Next to this I am especially interested in philosophy, sociology and water sports (rowing and sailing). I like to take an abstract view and to work from there to tangible solutions.
